Monday is byelection day in Prince Edward Island’s Queens County. The provincial byelection is for the riding of Cornwall-Meadowbank. The District 16 byelection was called following the death of former Progressive Conservative cabinet minister Mark McLane in March. Voting will take place at the APM Centre in Cornwall from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Elections PEI says 34.7 per cent of the 4,695 registered electors in the district took part in advance voting. The agency says it will post unofficial results on its website Monday night after ballot counting, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. For more P.E.I. news, visit our dedicated provincial page.
