Maple Leaf Marinas says boaters are invited to hit the waterways in a few days for a good cause. The organization has announced the return of its Fuel Your Hospital Fundraiser. The annual fundraiser aims to raise money for Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation, Huntsville Hospital Foundation, West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation, South Muskoka Hospital Foundation, RVH Foundation and Brightshores Health System Owen Sound Foundation. Between July 31 and Aug. 3, residents are encouraged to fuel up their vessel at a Maple Leaf Marina location, which will then donate up to 20 cents from each litre of fuel pumped to the eligible hospital foundations. The company has set a donation goal of $45,000 this year, hoping to add that to its total of $200,000 donated since the fundraiser began in 2020.
