Early on Saturday morning, police received a barrage of reports about a driver’s alarming behaviour.

Just before 6 a.m., Bracebridge OPP officers were called to Bethune Drive in Gravenhurst, for a concerning vehicle travelling south.

Police say they quickly spotted the driver along the road and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, however the driver allegedly failed to follow the officers’ instructions.

According to officials, the driver allegedly caused minor damage to one of the police cruisers after failing to cooperate.

The vehicle was eventually brought to a safe stop and an arrest was made, according to police.

OPP charged a 29-year-old man of Gravenhurst for dangerous operation and flight from a peace officer along with several Highway Traffic Act offenses.

He is scheduled to return to court in May.
