A home was destroyed in Oro-Medonte over the weekend after a generator caught fire.
Crews were called to Line 10 around 3 a.m., Sunday morning.
Twenty firefighters from Oro-Medonte, Severn and Springwater departments got the blaze under control in roughly 30 minutes.
Fire officials say the fire spread to the garage and eventually took over the entirety of the home.
Crews were delayed at responding due to downed trees and power lines caused by the recent ice storm.
Officials confirmed that there were no injuries in the midst of this incident.
Damage is estimated at 600,000 dollars according to officials, with homeowners facing a total loss of their home.
