Provincial police are investigating after human remains were discovered near the Boyne River in Alliston over the weekend. Ontario Provincial Police say emergency crews, including the Emergency Response Team, K9 Unit, Identification Services and New Tecumseth Fire Rescue, were called to the area on Saturday. A large police presence could be observed by the river during the evening hours. Investigators say they are working to determine the identity of the person and the cause of death. Police say no further details will be released until a medical examination has been completed.
