Popular U.S. cookie franchise Crumbl coming to Barrie

The popular U.S. cookie franchise Crumbl is coming to Barrie, according to a social media post.

An Instagram account for Crumbl Barrie North says the American bakery is set to open this summer, although an official opening date has not yet been announced.

“Whether you’re grabbing a late-night treat, bringing a pink box to friends, or trying every flavour of the week... this is about to be your new favourite stop in the city,” the Instagram post read.

The expansion will add Barrie to Crumbl’s growing footprint, joining 29 other locations across Canada.

Crumbl was founded in 2017, as stated on its website, by cousins Jason McGowan and Sawyer Hemsley, who began with a goal of creating the perfect chocolate chip cookie.

What started as a single bakery in Logan, Utah, has since grown into more than 1,000 locations worldwide. The chain is best known for its rotating weekly menu and signature pink boxes.
