Although temperatures remain mild during the daytime hours across the Simcoe County and Muskoka region areas, it may be time to prep plants for winter. For the third time in one week, Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has issued a yellow frost warning, this time for Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Huntsville and Baysville. Frost poses the risk of damage to plants, trees and crops, ECCC says. The weather organization is encouraging residents to take preventative measures to protect plants. ECCC suggests covering up plants that are especially sensitive to cold or those located in a frost prone areas. Thursday’s overnight low for Bracebridge, Gravenhurst and Baysville is 2 C.
