1 hospitalized in stable condition after stabbing at downtown C-Train station

An investigation is underway into a stabbing late Friday in downtown Calgary.

At around 10:20 p.m., police say they responded to reports of a stabbing at the LRT station at Third Street and Seventh Avenue S.E.

Police and transit security found the victim, who was transported to hospital in stable condition.

A brief search yielded the suspect, who was taken into custody by police.

The matter remains under investigation.
