For Toronto Blue Jays fans, the best treat for Halloween would be to win the World Series in Game 6, which they’re trying to do tonight. One Spruce Grove, Alta., dad, however, is balancing his love for the team with his duty as a parent of trick-or-treaters. Kyle Polanski has created his “Vladdy Caddy” – a 32-inch TV streaming the game, powered by a lawnmower battery and packed neatly into a kids’ wagon. “The kids are obviously going to have to do a bit of walking this year, because the wagon is taken,” he told CTV News Edmonton on Friday. He was set on taking his two daughters trick-or-treating, but also recognizes that he could witness the third Commissioner’s Trophy win in the franchise’s history the same night. “I think it was 32 years ago now? So I would have been eating baby food last time around. So this one will be a little more memorable,” he said. He’ll be walking around the neighbourhood with his wagon in tow. He said he isn’t sure how families will react, although he hopes the TV won’t be too much of a distraction for cars or kids on the road. “I hope the reaction is positive … maybe it means more candy for the girls or for dad,” he said. “Hopefully it doesn’t go to the 18th inning again. Hopefully we can be home in time to catch the seventh, eighth, ninth innings in a warmer environment.”
