Temperatures will return to the mid to upper 20s for Tuesday-Thursdady in Edmonton and we’ll get some sun to accompany that heat. But, first we have to get through a cloudier and slightly “cooler” day Monday. We’re in a brisk northerly flow on the back side of a low pressure system that’s sitting over Saskatchewan. Wind is expected to pick up to 20-30 km/h with gusts around 40-50 km/h Monday morning and early afternoon. There’s also some scattered showers that will likely push through at least parts of the Edmonton region Monday morning. Skies should start to clear through Monday afternoon as the system moves further east. An upper ridge and an area of high pressure at the surface will settle in for Tuesday-Thursday, bringing sunny skies and afternoon highs in the 26 to 30 C range. When the ridge moves off to the east, we get a chance of some showers/thunderstorms Thursday evening and daytime highs will drop back to the low 20s to close the week.
