Starting Monday, drivers going along Dawson Bridge will notice increased traffic as the road becomes a single-lane closure for two weeks. The city says delays are expected during travel peak times. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead using the online Traffic Disruptions Map. The ongoing work is to help extend the lifespan of the bridge and is expected to be done this summer, the city said in a news release. Full closures of the roads are also scheduled: Bus route 1A/B will be detoured when the bridge is fully closed. The Dawson Bridge Rehabilitation Project is one of the city’s highlights in its 2026 construction plan.
