‘Fringe Unforgettable’: 45 years of the Edmonton Fringe Festival

Fringe Theatre unveiled its theme for the 45th annual Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival on Monday.

“‘Fringe Unforgettable’ celebrates the moments that linger after the final bow,” said a statement from festival organizers. “The unexpected discoveries, the daring performances, the belly laughs, tears, chance encounters, familiar faces and hugs in a lineup outside a theatre.”

The 45th edition of the festival will see 209 shows across 37 venues with tickets capped at $20.

There will also be 16 free concerts featuring local and touring artists in ATB Park as well as 35 outdoor performers including circus artists and street theatre performances.

Free shuttle service will be available between the main Fringe grounds and the French Quarter for the entirety of the festival.

Fringe runs from Aug. 13 to 23. Festival tickets and passes go on sale Aug. 5 at noon.
