A road in central Edmonton flooded after a storm on Monday afternoon. Connors Road flooded at 98 Avenue, just before the James Macdonald Bridge. The Valley Line LRT was not running between Holyrood and Muttart stations because a tree fell on the tracks Monday afternoon, Edmonton Transit Service said. The capital region was under a severe thunderstorm warning earlier in the afternoon when parts of the city were poured on. Severe weather remains possible later on Monday, the agency wrote online. “Thunderstorms will develop north and northeast of Calgary this afternoon and track east toward the Saskatchewan border. A few of these thunderstorms are likely to become severe producing large hail and damaging winds. There is also the risk of a tornado.” A severe thunderstorm rocked the capital region late Saturday night, impacting events, downing trees and flooding roads.
