Ready for playoff hockey and feeling lucky? 50/50 tickets for the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs are now on sale. First-round proceeds will support the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF), and early-bird prizes include playoff tickets, signed merchandise, cash and vehicles. “Year after year, this initiative showcases the unparalleled support of Oil Country – not only for the team, but for the broader community," EOCF board chair Corey Smith said. “Throughout the playoffs, the raffle consistently generates some of the largest jackpots in sports, creating new millionaires across Alberta while making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in need.” Last year, jackpots totalled more than $57 million, including a $13-million windfall, the team said. Tickets are available online. The NHL playoffs start this coming weekend.
