A 29-year-old Edmonton man is facing numerous charges for allegedly assaulting a young victim. Police were contacted in August about a boy who interacted with a man using Snapchat. Police said the accused communicated on the social media platform with the user name ‘Edm Gay Boy4ynger’ and account name ‘Yegboi00.’. This week, Tristan Lahue was charged with sexual assault, sexual contact with a child and luring a child under 16. Lahue has been released from custody with a number of conditions including not to have contact with anyone under 16, not attend any public swimming area, school, school yard, daycare, playground, youth shelter or public library. He is also not allowed to possess any type of device that has internet access. Lahue is also prohibited from finding or keeping a job or volunteer position that puts him in a position of trust over a person under 16. He is listed as a music instructor at the north Edmonton location of Long & McQuade; the company told CTV News Edmonton in an email on Friday that Lahue is no longer employed by them. It’s believed there could be other victims who are asked to contact police.
