Washout closes Highway 21 north of Sherwood Park

Northbound traffic on Highway 21 was being redirected Saturday afternoon due to flooding on the roads.

Alberta 511 lists the area near Township Road 532 as a washout. All lanes are closed. Drivers are being redirected to Anthony Henday Drive or Highway 830.

Officials say drivers should expect delays, congestion and be prepared to come to a stop on the highway should they be travelling in the area.
