The KW Titans could win their first ever Basketball Super League (BSL) title with a win in Sudbury on Tuesday night. The Titans are in Sudbury for Game 3 of their best of five series. The are facing defending champions, the Sudbury Five. The Titans won the first two meetings in the championship series. A strong 113-104 win in Game 1 on Thursday, followed by a much closer 95-92 win on Sunday. However, Sudbury Five’s veteran guard, and newly crowned BSL 2026 Most Valuable Player, Charlie Marquardt was not on the court for Game 2. If the Titans win Game 3, they will claim their first ever “Super Lillie” trophy. If Sudbury wins, Game 4 will happen on Monday in Sudbury. If a Game 5 is needed, it will be Wednesday, April 29 in Kitchener. KW has been in the finals before, when they lost to London in 2024. The team’s owners said this time is different, as they’re not the underdog. “Really excited and anxious,” David Schooley, one of the owners of the KW Titans, told CTV News. “Everybody’s worked really hard. The players and coaches are locked in. We can feel the love coming from the city, and we’re ready to bring this home,” Kate Schooley, one of the owners of the KW Titans, said. Tip off for Game 3 is at 7 p.m. A watch party is being hosted at Edelweiss Tavern in Kitchener. “We’ve never had a team on the court like this team before. It’s exciting and scary all at the same time,” David Schooley said. “We’re looking to bring home three championships this year: Titans, Rangers and Panthers.” “We really felt the love and support this year and we’re just really thankful. Let’s do this for you guys,” Kate Schooley said. According to the owners, the Toronto Raptors also shared a message of encouragement with the team earlier today.
