A cat has died following a house fire in the city’s west end on Wednesday. London fire crews responded to a house fire at 149 Forest Hill Ave. early Wednesday afternoon. Officials say smoke was seen billowing from the second floor upon arrival, and flames spread into the eaves and attic areas. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the blaze. No injuries have been reported but one cat was found deceased because of the fire. Investigators say they are working to determine the cause. No damage estimate is available at this time.
