Simcoe Street fire deemed suspicious

An evening fire in London that displaced 12 people has been deemed suspicious.

Crews were called to the scene at 241 Simcoe St. near Wellington Road near 6:15 p.m.

The fire was in a unit on the 10th floor of the building.

Occupants of the building were all safely evacuated and no injuries were reported.

Damage is estimated at $200,000 and police continue to investigate.
