A Quebec City man has been charged by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for allegedly making death threats against Prime Minister Mark Carney. Ousmane Bah, 45, is charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm to a person and with wilfully promoting hatred against an identifiable group under the Criminal Code. He allegedly made the threatening remarks on his Facebook account, according to an RCMP press release. The RCMP’s Integrated National Security Enforcement Team launched an investigation on July 6. Bah appeared at the Québec City courthouse on Sept. 24, and his next court date is Oct. 1. He remains in custody until his next court appearance.
