A collision on Royal Road in Saint-Laurent-de-l’Île-d’Orléans, involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle, left two people seriously injured on Sunday afternoon. The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) states that the driver of the pickup truck reportedly collided with the motorcycle near the intersection with Route des Prêtres. According to SQ spokesperson Geneviève Bruneau, emergency services were called to the scene around 5 p.m. She noted that a man and a woman were riding the motorcycle at the time of the accident, and that both sustained serious injuries before being transported to a hospital. “We are still awaiting an update on their condition,” added Bruneau. “The driver of the pickup truck, however, was not injured.” Witnesses are expected to be interviewed, and the investigation is ongoing.
