Man’s body found in Montreal apartment

The body of a man in his 60s was found in an apartment building in Montreal’s Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie borough on Tuesday night.

Montreal police (SPVM) received a 911 call at 10 p.m. about the incident on Masson Street near 4e Avenue.

“When the police arrived at the scene, they found an unresponsive man,” said Caroline Chèvrefils, a spokesperson with Montreal police.

His death was confirmed on site.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unknown, and the victim’s identity has yet to be confirmed.

A security perimeter has been established to allow investigators and forensic technicians to analyze the scene.

It is the 4th homicide on the Montreal police territory for 2026.
