Ontario Provincial Police say a 30-year-old from Sudbury is facing multiple charges following a traffic complaint on Highway 522 in Port Loring earlier this month. OPP said officers were conducting patrols in the area on July 7 when they were approached by a member of the public reporting motorcycles racing on the highway. “Officers later located a motorcycle being pushed along the highway,” OPP said in a social media post. “During the investigation, police determined the individual had recently been operating the motorcycle while prohibited from driving under the Criminal Code and while suspended under the Highway Traffic Act.” As a result, the motorcyclist was charged with driving while prohibited and driving without insurance. In addition to the charges, OPP said the motorcycle was also impounded for 45 days.
