'I see human feces every day': Sault city council rejects washroom inventory motion
Sault Ste. Marie city council has defeated a motion to inventory public washroom access for unhoused people, marking the second rejection in just over two years. Councillor Lisa Vezeau-Allen proposed the motion, citing daily sightings of human feces downtown, but it was voted down 7-3. Opponents linked washroom access to large encampments across the province, while local union president Mike Da Prat is condemning the "do nothing" approach. Cory Nordstrom has the latest.
