1 dead after shooting at Gatineau, Que. business

One person is dead after a late-night shooting at a business in Gatineau, Que.

Police responded to a call for a shooting inside a business on Main Street, in the Lac-Beauchamp district, at approximately 11:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police say officers located a victim with serious injuries. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

“An investigation is currently underway to determine the causes and circumstances surrounding this event,” police said in a media release.

Police tape blocked off the entrance to Bar 77 and evidence markers were spotted on the ground outside the business on Friday morning.
