Cooler-than-normal temperatures in the forecast for Ottawa today

Cooler-than-normal temperatures and the risk of rain are in the forecast for Ottawa over the next two days, after Mother Nature delivered another round of heavy rain to the national capital region on Tuesday.

Environment Canada reported 18 millimetres of rain fell at the Ottawa International Airport on Tuesday, bringing the monthly total to 195.8 mm.

The forecast calls for a mainly cloudy day with a 40 per cent chance of showers early in the morning and in the afternoon. High 21 C.

It will be mainly cloudy tonight with a 30 per cent chance of showers. Low 12 C.

Thursday will see a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 per cent chance of showers. High 27 C.

A mix of sun and cloud is expected on Friday. High 27 C.

The outlook for Saturday calls for a mix of sun and cloud. High 28 C.

Sunday will see mainly cloudy conditions with a 40 per cent chance of showers. High 28 C.

The normal temperatures for this time of year are a high of 27 C and a low of 16 C.
