The Ottawa Titans are now one win away from their first title in franchise history. The Titans have a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five series against the Evansville Otters after grinding out an 8-6 win Friday night at home. The sold-out crowd in Ottawa broke a new MLB partner league playoff attendance record by more than 2,000 people with 10,303 fans packing the stadium, the team said in a news release. The Titans fell in Game 1 to the Otters 6-0 in Indiana but came back to win 11-1 in Game 2. Game 4 will be played tonight at 7 p.m. in Ottawa. If necessary, Game 5 will be played on Sunday at 5 p.m. at home. It’s the first time in the team’s history it has reached the Frontier League Championship Series after defeating the New York Boulders. The Otters last appeared in the championship in 2023 but were defeated by the Québec Capitales.
