A father and son from Pembroke, Ont. are $1 million richer this summer. Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. says Michael and Brian G. matched all seven Encore numbers in the exact order to win $1 million in the May 9 Lotto Max draw. The pair shared the news with their loved ones, sending a photo of their validation slip to the family group chat. “Our family members sent us photos of themselves lying on the floor because they were totally floored by the news,” they said while collecting their winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. OLG says Brian plans to purchase a house and build a garage, while Michael plans to get some dental work done. The winning Encore ticket was sold at Choices Plus on Pembroke Street East in Pembroke. Encore can be played in conjunction with most lottery games for an extra $1. OLG says there are two Encore draws every day.
