Ontario Provincial Police say foul play is now suspected in the disappearance of a Pembroke, Ont. woman who went missing three years ago. Brianna Traversey was reported missing in Pembroke on Sept. 21, 2023. Since then, police say officers have conducted extensive interviews and multiple searches of the area. Traversey was 29 years old at the time of her disappearance and would now be 32. Police had previously not ruled out foul play, but OPP said Tuesday they now suspect it is the reason behind her disappearance. “No longer are we saying that foul play cannot be ruled out. In this particular case, we do suspect foul play,” OPP Det. Insp. Erin Thomas said in a news release. Police are renewing calls for information as investigators continue to search for her. “She was last seen in Petawawa. We believe she was staying with friends in the area of Laroche Crescent,” Thomas said in a video posted by OPP on social media. “We’ve investigated every avenue that is available to us, and we’re not done yet.” The video includes the last known photo of Traversey before she went missing. “All we need is for somebody to say something. Something so me and the rest of the family, her brothers, her sisters, her babies can know something. We want to bring her home one way or another,” said Brian Traversey, Brianna’s father, in the video. Traversey is described as 5-feet-8-inches, 120 pounds with shoulder length hair, possibly dyed brown or red. She has several tattoos on her hands, arms and legs, including a breast cancer ribbon tattoo on her left shoulder and a Betty Boop tattoo on her right calf. The Ontario government is offering a $50,000 reward for anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for her disappearance. Anyone with information regarding this investigation is encouraged to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
