A 39-year-old man who recently received parole on Vancouver Island is wanted Canada-wide after immediately breaching the conditions of his release, police say. Clint Billy was released on parole after serving a portion of a two-year federal sentence for weapons and robbery offences, Nanaimo RCMP said in a news release Thursday. Billy’s release from custody occurred on March 24, and he was required to live at a residence in Victoria, but he “failed to show,” according to Mounties. “As a result, a warrant was issued for his arrest,” the release reads. “Although Billy does not have confirmed connections to Nanaimo, police have received information indicating he may be in the area.” Nanaimo RCMP shared a photo of Billy, describing him as an Indigenous man with black hair and brown eyes and a sleeve tattoo on his left arm that depicts Japanese demons. He stands six feet tall and weighs 175 pounds, police said. Anyone who has information regarding Billy’s whereabouts should call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250‑754‑2345 or call their local police, Mounties said.
