Police stopped a car doing 93 kilometres-per-hour in a 50 km/h zone Monday morning on the 10th Line. South Simcoe Police said the driver had two young children in the back of the car. Police charged the 41-year-old Bradford man with stunt driving – speeding 40 km/h over the posted speed limit where the limit is less than 80 km/h. He was also charged with speeding. The man’s driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days and his vehicle impounded for 14 days. He has a court appearance October 21. Police say this is after two other vehicles were stopped on the same stretch of road on Sunday. Police say due to all the construction and road closures, officers are seeing increased traffic on the quieter neighbourhood streets on the 10th Line and Victoria Street in Stroud. Police ask drivers to slow down – especially with young kids in the car – and get everyone home safely.
