A man who allegedly stabbed a security guard in the parking lot of an indoor amusement park in Surrey Thursday morning has been arrested and charged, according to authorities. The security guard called police at 3:38 a.m. to report “a man was screaming” at them outside of Central City Fun Park on 124 Street, the Surrey Police Service said in a news release. “When officers arrived, they located the security guard in the parking lot suffering from multiple stab wounds to his arm and legs and immediately began to provide life-saving medical aid,” the statement from police said. “A suspect was also located in the parking lot and was arrested without incident.” The victim was taken to hospital by paramedics and remains in serious condition, police said. Ricco Norman Zanolli, 37, has been charged with one count of aggravated assault, one count of assault with a weapon, and two counts of breaching a release order, according to police. Zanolli’s first court appearance on the charges was set for Thursday afternoon. Zanolli was featured in a 2022 Halloween campaign by Crime Stoppers that put five men who were at-large on “scariest and least wanted” list.
