A tractor trailer struck an overpass in Delta Wednesday morning, prompting an investigation by the B.C. Highway Patrol. The driver was travelling on Highway 99 when the white Kenworth truck struck the Ladner Trunk overpass around 10:40 a.m., Mounties said in a statement, adding that both southbound lanes of the highway and the overpass have been closed as a result. “We’re working with the B.C. Ministry of Transportation to ensure that the overpass is safe, and we’re asking drivers to avoid the area because delays will be significant,” B.C. Highway Patrol spokesperson Sgt.
