Sea to Sky Highway traffic snarled

An incident on the Sea to Sky Highway on June 21, 2026, brought traffic to a standstill.

Drivers travelling along the Sea to Sky Highway Sunday morning were advised to expect delays due to two separate incidents.

First, emergency crews blocked off a northbound lane near Lions Bay starting around 9 a.m. causing traffic to come to a standstill.

That issue was resolved roughly 90 minutes later, but a southbound incident occurred minutes later.

Just before 11 a.m., DriveBC reported an incident roughly three kilometres south of Porteau Cove Road and warned drivers to be prepared for “major delays.”
