Surrey police are asking the public for help after more than a month of unsuccessful attempts to identify assault suspects. The Surrey Police Service shared a photo of the two men in a news release Tuesday, saying the suspects were walking with a larger group when the July 16 assault occurred. The call came in shortly after 11:30 p.m. that night, according to the SPS. Front-line officers were called to a business in the 10200 block of City Parkway in Surrey’s Whalley neighbourhood, where they found a man who had been “assaulted by two unknown males.” Paramedics treated the victim for non-life-threatening injuries, police said. They described the first suspect as a white man with a heavy build who was wearing a black T-shirt and had tattoos on his arms. The second suspect, also a white man, was wearing a black jacket and a baseball cap, police said. The SPS asked anyone with information about the incident, including surveillance or dash-cam video, to call the service’s non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 26-73851 (SP). Tips can also be reported anonymously via Crime Stoppers, police said.
