Blustery conditions, chance of showers to end week before sunny Sunday

A windy and unsettled pattern will carry through the end of the work week in the London region, with cooler temperatures and periodic chances of showers before brighter conditions arrive for the start of next week.

Environment Canada is calling for mainly cloudy skies today, with a 30 per cent chance of showers. Strong southwest winds will be the main feature, reaching 40 km/h and gusting up to 80 km/h. The daytime high is expected to reach 22 C, feeling closer to 25 with the humidex.

Cloud cover will linger into the evening with a continued 30 per cent chance of showers early on. Skies are expected to gradually clear later tonight as winds shift to the west and ease from earlier gusts of 60 km/h to lighter conditions overnight. The temperature will dip to a low of 13 C.

Friday will bring a mix of sun and cloud, along with a continuing 30 per cent chance of afternoon showers. The high will edge up slightly to 23 C, with a humidex of 25.

Clear skies are forecast Friday night with a low of 12 C.

Heading into the weekend, Saturday will see a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 per cent chance of showers and a high of 22 C. Skies will feature cloudy periods overnight with a 30 per cent chance of showers and a low of 11 C.

Sunday, expect sunny skies and a warmer high of 25 C expected across the region.
