Man wanted by Essex County OPP arrested in Cobourg, Ont.

A wanted man who was known to visit Windsor-Essex has been arrested in Cobourg, Ont.

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad was asking for the public’s help to locate Guy Fowler, who was wanted on provincial warrants held by Essex County OPP.

Fowler was located and arrested by the Cobourg Police Service with assistance from the ROPE Squad on Friday.

He was wanted for the following offences:

• Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 years of age
• Sexual Interference
• Sexual Exploitation
• Voyeurism
• Possession of child pornography
• Makes, Prints, Publishes or Possess for the Purpose of Publication any Child Pornography
• Imports, Distributes, Sells or Possess for the Purpose of Distribution or Sale any Child Pornography
• Fail to Attend Court.

The R.O.P.E. Squad is thanking the public and the media for their help with the investigation.
