How much rain fell in Manitoba on Tuesday  

Katherine Dow breaks down the province's rainfall totals following some stormy weather.

It was a stormy start to the week for parts of Manitoba, with some communities seeing heavy rainfall totals.

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), Tuesday’s storm brought 65 mm of rain to Stonewall, 43.5 mm to Carman and 31 mm to Woodlands.

ECCC noted that rainfall totals varied throughout Winnipeg, with the airport getting 7.2 mm and The Forks receiving 3.7 mm.

The weather agency said the rain was “spotty” throughout Tuesday night, adding that most communities saw between five and 10 mm.

CTV News previously reported that ECCC issued a rainfall warning for much of the Parkland region, as well as a funnel cloud advisory for southwestern Manitoba. Both these warnings have now ended.
