Manitoba premier to update flood situation

Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew gives an update on the ongoing flood situation in the province.

Manitoba’s premier will give an update on the response to the ongoing flooding situation in multiple Manitoba communities.

Wab Kinew is scheduled to speak to media at the Manitoba legislature at 2 p.m. CTV News Winnipeg will live-stream the event.

This comes as communities continue to grapple with the aftermath of flooding from heavy rain. Several communities, such as Minnedosa, have declared states of emergency.

Dauphin’s hospital will be closed for several months due to extensive damage to the building, while Brandon has prepared evacuation plans for areas that could be impacted if the Assiniboine River spills its banks.
