The Monday morning commute along Plessis Road may take a bit longer. The City of Winnipeg says as of 7 a.m. on Monday, Plessis will be completely shut down between the CN main approach at Autumn Way and Camiel Sys Street. Southbound lanes between Camiel Sys Street and Dugald Road will also be shut down, though northbound lanes will remain open. The city is also temporarily opening traffic in both directions between Fermor Avenue and Autumn Way. The southbound lanes on this stretch will close again on Friday, Aug. 21. “Drivers should plan ahead, use alternate routes, and anticipate delays in the area,” the city said in a notice. Plessis Road is expected to fully open when the full construction project wraps up later this year.
