Democrats need a net gain of at least four seats in Tuesday’s midterm elections to wrest control of the U.S. Senate from Republicans, with voter discontent over U.S. President Donald Trump, the Iran war and rising prices putting races in once-solidly Republican states into play.

There are 35 senate seats up for grabs, out of a total of 100 seats. This map by 270toWin shows the current senate and makes a forecast for the senate elections. Democrats can retake control with a net gain of four seats.
All 435 seats in the House of Representatives are in play on Nov. 3. Republicans currently control the U.S. House.
