Firefighters battled an apartment fire in Halifax Sunday morning. According to the Halifax Professional Fire Fighters Association, crews responded to a fire at a multi-unit residential building on Dutch Village Road around 10:45 a.m. Upon arrival, crews encountered “advancing fire conditions” and initiated an interior fire attack to bring the situation under control. “Given the multi-unit nature of the building, crews forced entry into adjacent apartments to conduct searches and evacuate residents as a precaution,” read the social media post. One person was treated by EHS paramedics. There is no word on a cause at this time. For more Nova Scotia news, visit our dedicated provincial page
