Moncton is set to host the 2027 East Coast Music Awards. In an announcement Friday, the East Coast Music Association (ECMA) said the city will host the award show and festival on May 26-30, 2027. “Moncton is proud to host the East Coast Music Awards and Festival in 2027,” says Deputy Mayor, Paulette Theriault, in a news release Friday. “This event is a celebration of our region’s culture and creativity, while also bringing important economic and tourism benefits to our community. We look forward to welcoming artists, industry professionals, and visitors to experience everything Moncton and our region have to offer.” EMCA says the city was chosen for its unique position as a bilingual and culturally connected hub which reflects the region and its music community. “We’re thrilled to bring the ECMAs to Moncton in 2027,” said Bob Hallett, executive director of the ECMA, in a news release. “Moncton is a city where cultures and languages meet in a way that feels uniquely East Coast. That spirit of connection between artists, communities, and audiences is exactly what the ECMAs are built on. We’re excited to work alongside local partners to create an experience that reflects both the richness of this region and the global reach of its music.” The 2027 event will feature the ECMA awards gala, a multi-day music festival, an industry conference and an Export Buyers Program which aims to connect Atlantic Canadian artists with opportunities on a global stage.
