Saint John Police Force seeks suspect wanted on Canada-wide arrest warrant

Saint John Police Force asked for public assistance to locate a man wanted on a Canada-wide arrest warrant in a Friday news release.

A warrant was issued for Peter Johnston, 33, for breaking the conditions of his statutory release after police say he failed to present himself at the Parrtown Community Correctional Centre in Saint John.

Johnston is described as five-foot-six, 170 lbs., with brown hair and blue eyes. He has multiple skull tattoos on his right arm and the words “my brothers” on his inner right forearm. He has the outline of a fox head and the numbers “506” on his upper left arm and the words “kw lost but never forgotten” on his left inner forearm.

Johnston is serving a second sentence of four years, seven months and 21 days for:

• flight from a peace officer,
• dangerous operation of a conveyance,
• possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000,
• possession of a firearm knowing unauthorized,
• careless use/storage of a firearm,
• possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order,
• unauthorized possession of a firearm/prohibited or restricted weapon in a motor vehicle,
• offence under the Motor Vehicle Act of N.B. 

Police warn the public should not approach the suspect.

Anyone who sees Johnston or has information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact Saint John Police Force or Crime Stoppers should they wish to remain anonymous.
