An 89-year-old Fredericton woman died after a two-vehicle crash in Island View, N.B., on Tuesday night, according to the RCMP. Officers responded to the collision on Highway 102 around 7:15 p.m. They believe a northbound SUV failed to stop and hit a tractor-trailer driving in the same direction and attempting to make a left turn. The woman in the SUV died at the scene, according to police. The tractor-trailer driver was uninjured. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the woman’s exact cause of death.
