Two people die in crash involving transport truck: Fredericton police

Two women have died after a two-vehicle collision involving a transport truck, according to Fredericton police.

A third passenger of the car was taken to the hospital, as well as the truck driver.

Police advised the public of the Princess Margaret Bridge closure on Friday morning, citing a collision. They have since issued an update including the fatalities.

“We extend our condolences to the families and friends of the deceased,” reads a post from the Fredericton Police Force.

Officer patrols and a forensic collision analysis team are on the scene. The cause and circumstances of the collision are under investigation.
