Dirt bike rider killed after collision with dump truck in Morristown, N.S.

A 30-year-old man from Aylesford, N.S., has died after his dirt bike collided with a dump truck in Morristown, N.S., on Monday.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck, a 29-year-old from Morristown, and a passenger did not report any injuries.

RCMP, fire services, and EHS responded to a report of the crash in the 500 block of Prospect Road around 9 p.m.

The road was closed for several hours while a collision reconstructionist attended the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.

Kings District RCMP asks anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage to contact them at 902-838-9300.

“Our thoughts are with the man’s loved ones at this difficult time,” reads a news release from RCMP on Tuesday.
