Four youth have been charged after an assault on another youth in Bridgewater, according to police. Police say the assault took place on Oct. 2, and a video of the altercation was circulating. In a news release Monday, police say the video shows a young man on the ground while four individuals carry out the assault. The victim sustained blows to the head and kicks to the back and ribs. Police say the assault was connected to an earlier altercation between some of the parties. Three young girls and one young man were charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm, according to police. They were released and are set to appear in youth court in early December. “All accused are Lunenburg County residents. By law, none of them can be identified because they are under 18,” read the news release. Police say the investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact Bridgewater Police Service at 902-543-2464. For more Nova Scotia news, visit our dedicated provincial page
