A man and woman have been charged with drug trafficking offences in New Minas, N.S. Police executed two search warrants as part of an ongoing investigation last Friday. One at a residence on Granite Drive where the duo was arrested, and another at a commercial storage locker in Kentville, N.S. “Over the course of the two searches, offices seized quantities of four different drugs including fentanyl and cocaine, as well as drug paraphernalia,” the RCMP says in a statement on Wednesday. “They located and seized a firearm, two replica firearms, multiple knives, and other prohibited devices.” Police say they also recovered items suspected to have been stolen, including tools, electronics, bicycles and a flat deck trailer. Michael Wayne Nicholson, 41, of New Minas is facing 27 charges. Tali Candina Reid, 32, of Wolfville is facing 25 charges. Both face offences including: Nicholson and Reid appeared in Kentville provincial court on Friday. Nicholson remains in custody pending future court appearances and Reid was released pending one scheduled for October. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
