Police are investigating a weekend shooting in downtown Halifax. Halifax Regional Police responded to a report that a man had been shot in the 2100 block of Amalamek Way around 1:10 a.m. Sunday. When officers arrived they found a 39-year-old man with gunshot wounds. “Officers provided life saving measures until EHS arrived and transported him to the hospital with what are believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries,” reads a news release from Halifax Regional Police.
